ABSTRACT
Health care organizations want to document the quality of their service delivery in order to make a difference in increasing competition conditions in an international level. At the certification stage, different mandatory and voluntary certification and accreditation criteria exist. In this study, compulsory national quality standards of health (SKS) and national standards of accreditation in health (SAS) prepared according to internationally applicable qualifications are compared with hospital criteria and JCI criteria, which is the most preferred international accreditation standard. As a result of comparison; it is suggested that harmonization of SKS and SAS criteria and the creation of incentive systems to enable SAS to be preferred nationally and internationally will benefit the efficient and effective use of our resources.
