ABSTRACT

The aim of employee health and safety practices is to protect employees from occupational accidents and diseases and to ensure that they work in a safe and healthy working environment. Today, risk management and assessment constitute the most important element of the new approach to occupational health and safety. In order to provide a quality and safe health service, both health workers and patients and their relatives should be in a safe environment. In order to provide such an environment, security threatening risks should be eliminated or minimized. Hospitals can only reduce these risks by analyzing them with an effective risk management approach and taking the necessary precautions. The aim of this study was to create a local risk management model that can be applied in all public and private hospitals, based on a practical management hierarchy and structured to include all employees in hospital services.
